TubeMogul Recognized as an AlwaysOn Global 250 Winner
Emeryville-based TubeMogul this week announced
that it was selected as an AlwaysOn Global 250 winner. AlwaysOn winners are companies that have shown sustained leadership in a specific industry.
Brett Wilson, TubeMogul's CEO, cited the launch of their media buying platform for video advertising last year as the source of their momentum that led to the selection. Wilson claimed the launch "propelled us to become the largest buyer of real-time video ad inventory worldwide."
Wilson also said that being headquartered in the Bay Area has been benefitial to the company's success. "The concentration of talented people in the Bay Area and the network effects of that are unique in the world," he said. "Being in Emeryville also has the unique advantages in attracting one of the best engineering teams anywhere from UC Berkley, the school that invented UNIX and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible."
The industry is changing, and Wilson says that "marketers are tired of the complicated mess that digital video ad buying is today." As the industry changes, TubeMogul is proud to be recognized for staying ahead of the game. Keith Eadie, VP of marketing at TubeMogul said in an earlier statement, "It is great to be recognized for global leadership."
Wilson said that AlwaysOn has honored TubeMogul in several categories before, but this was their first time on the Global 250 list. TubeMogul will be honored at AlwaysOn’s 10th annual Innovation Summit at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif., on July 23.
Wilson also says that TubeMogul is hiring 15 positions in the Bay area across all departments.
