Nordstrom Teaming Up With Topshop

  • July 12, 2012

Looks like the biggest fashion trend this season will be high/low pairings: Nordstrom says it will open Topshop and Topman departments in 14 stores this September, as well as online. The announcement comes just days after Neiman Marcus announced it would team up with Target for a special holiday collection.

Topshop, a British cheap chic retailer that has been slowly expanding in the U.S., already has stores in New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas, with a Los Angeles store set to open this spring. The Topshop departments will look like the real thing, right down to mannequins and store fixtures.

''I believe TOPSHOP and TOPMAN offer the Nordstrom customer something very different and unique with our signature British fashion authority,” Sir Philip Green, chairman of Topshop, says in the release announcing the partnership. “With new pieces being delivered from our design team on pretty much a weekly basis -- the ability to buy fresh, must-have looks every time a customer visits is key to our brands' point of difference.”
