'CQ Roll Call' Cuts 30 Staffers

CQ Roll Call laid off 30 staffers on Tuesday. Most were from the business end of the publication, but several from editorial. Sales lost 16 jobs. Last week, five people were let go, including marketing director William Kiniry, who landed at The Washington Post. A company statement read: "We are launching a new advocacy and engagement platform ... We are moving forward in the digital space—investing in CQ.com and continuing our legislative information and bill track services."
