LG Mobile, Cartoon Team Against Bullying
LG Mobile USA and Cartoon Network are teaming up to prevent bullying.
As part of LG’s annual U.S. National Texting Championship contest, the company will also be hosting a special “Text for the Cause” round, through which people from all over the country will pledge their support for Cartoon Network’s Stop Bullying: Speak Up campaign. For every pledge, LG will donate $1 to the effort, which distributes bullying prevention toolkits to middle schools and high schools across the U.S.
"As a committed corporate citizen, LG is partnering with Cartoon Network to support anti-bullying efforts and help inform teens and pre-teens about the importance of treating all people with respect," said James Fishler, senior vice president of marketing and go-to-market operations for LG Electronics USA, in a statement. "By asking our audience to take a stand against all forms of bullying, including those that are becoming more prevalent in the digital space, we hope to raise awareness for the tools and steps available to all of us to help stop bullying in its tracks."
