In an effort to make back-to-school shopping more engaging, Kohl’s says it has introduced a “Shop It to Win It” sweepstakes, running through Sept. 3, offering game pieces each time shoppers spend at least $25 in a store, online, or via mobile.
Prizes include gift cards, merchandise and a $5,000 grand prize. Other changes from the budget retailer include adding a “like” option to its Facebook Flash Sales, which allows people to vote on items they’d most like to see reduced, as well as Pinterest boards highlighting different brands, trends and styles.
It’s also launched a separate “Your closet, your rules” contest for its new Princess Vera Wang line for juniors. The company says it is partnering with Teen Vogue in a national model search, with the winner appearing in an ad campaign for the new line.
