Radio Groups Strike $1.6 Billion Deal

The Radio Music License Committee and BMI (Broadcast Music Inc) Monday said a Federal District Court judge approved their new commercial radio station blanket and per program license agreement. The estimates $1.6 billion deal covers over-the-air broadcast and Internet streaming rights traversing a 10-year period from 1997 to 2006.
