Privacy concerns are driving the majority of app users -- 57% -- to remove particular apps, or decide against installing them, according to a new report by the Pew Internet & American Life Center.
What's more, 50% of smartphone users have deleted their device's search or browsing history, while 30% have turned off location tracking, Pew reports.
Pew also found that around 43% of wireless users now download apps to their devices, up from 31% last year. The report was based on a telephone survey of more than 2,200 Americans.
