Apple IPhone Customers More Satisfied Than Google Users

  • September 11, 2012

Google’s Android may account for more handsets in the world, but Apple customers are more satisfied with their smartphones.

According to Parks Associates, 75% of Apple iPhone owners say they’re “very satisfied” with their handset, versus 61% of Android phone users. The firm also cites that 34% of smartphone shoppers with incomes of $50,000-$75,000 a year intend to buy an iPhone, about the same percentage as those intending to purchase a Google phone. (Last year, a Parks Associates survey revealed 24% of smartphone shoppers at that income level planned to buy an iPhone, compared with 39% intending to by an Android phone.)

"The iPhone scores higher than Android in user satisfaction in virtually all surveyed features, but Android phones have ruled the market due to lower costs," said John Barrett, Director, Consumer Analytics, Parks Associates, in a statement. “However, a sixth-generation iPhone will reduce the prices of previous models and draw even more attention to the brand, expanding its appeal to other consumer segments."
