United States Postal Service Postmaster General and CEO Jack Potter told magazines executives gathered Tuesday at the American Magazine Conference (AMC) that it was uncertain at this time as to
whether postal rates will change or not in 2005, while pledging to make every effort to avoid a rate increase. "I know the magazine industry is concerned," Potter said. "I want to assure you that I
will do everything I can to keep periodical rate increases as small as possible."
