CW's 'Arrow' Hits Viewer Mark
"Arrow," a new CW drama -- one geared to pull in more male viewers -- took in a big Nielsen 4.02 million viewers on Wednesday. (So far this season, CW has been averaging just 900,000 viewers.)The network says this is the best result for any CW single episode in three years since "The Vampire Diaries" took in 4.1 million in November 2009. "Arrow" also registered a 1.1 rating/4 share among key 18-34 viewers.
Working along with "Arrow," returning show "Supernatural" grabbed a decent 2.6 million viewers on Wednesday with a solid 1.0 rating/3 share among key 18-34 viewers. The CW says it was its best Wednesday night in total average viewers, at 3.3 million -- its best result since May 2010.
