'Variety' Names Sobrino-Stearns First Woman Publisher

Michelle Sobrino-Stearns has been named the first female publisher of Variety after 15 years with the esteemed trade publication. She had been associate publisher and sales director in the past. Penske Media Group now owns the magazine. Penske also owns Hollywood Life, a site run by Bonnie Fuller.
