Amazon Trumps Apple In E-Book Battle

European Union regulators will end an antitrust probe into e-book prices, reports Reuters. The EU has OK'd an offer from Apple and four other publishers to ease price restrictions on Amazon, in the site's attempt to sell e-books cheaper than its rivals. Apple and the publishers offered to let retailers set their own prices or discounts for a period of two years.
