TomTom Makes Map Data Available To Developers

Mapping software company TomTom has made its data available to apps developers, providing an alternative to maps from Google and Apple, reports Reuters. Dutch-based TomTom, known for its car navigation systems, just launched its location-based services platform. The new service provides developers access to location and navigation data, such as traffic management.
