Google, Amazon Catch Content

Apple got it correct when it launched iTunes (content) to drive sales of its iPhone and iPod devices (hardware). Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle tablets have struck a deal that highlights how content rather than technology helps to drive device sales. The BBC reports that the UK's Times newspaper will subsidize costs of the Nexus as part of its digital editions bundle, delivering news and content on a tablet.
