Conundrum: Have-it-allers And Vague Love Interests

A new survey from Groupon finds that of the many shopping challenges consumers face, buying gifts for people in their lives who already have everything is the worst, named by 68%. Also nerve-wracking, however, is that person known as “unclassified love interest,” with 33% dreading this purchase. (While the love interest may not be specific, the fears are, with 36% uncertain whether that person will gift them in return, and 28% worrying they will choose something too impersonal.) Overall, the 1,000 adult respondents felt the right gift is the biggest issue, named by 60%. Additionally, 56% stress about blowing their gift budget, and 50% hate the crowds.
