Oxygen Plugs 'Face' On Google+
Oxygen will broadcast part of a Google+ Hangout during one of its series to promote another. A video chat plugging “The Face,” set to debut Feb. 12, will have elements
carried during a repeat of the “Bad Girls Club.”
The Hangout will also be offered live on Oxygen’s Web site, Google+ and YouTube on Feb. 6. Content will include “The
Face” clips and a Q&A with the supermodels appearing as coaches on the series: Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha. Also involved is the host of “The Face,” Nigel
Barker.
A DailyCandy correspondent -- the Web site and Oxygen are part of NBCUniversal -- will moderate.
Digital agency 360i worked with Oxygen on the initiative, which the
network says marks the first time a Hangout has been integrated into linear TV.
Harleen Kahlon, a senior vice president in digital media at Oxygen, stated that Hangouts “offer a very
real and raw experience where the conversations are organic and unscripted.”
“The Face” will integrate a slew of sponsors into the series, including Marshalls. ULTA
Beauty offer the prize for the winner of the fashion competition. The show, like the network, is targeting women 18 to 34.
