YouTube Debuts Country Music Channel

You Tube is launching a channel dedicated to country music and its fans, says The Tennessean, with programming created by Nashville artists. Entertainment firm Greenlight Media & Marketing has teamed with YouTube to produce the Country Now channel, which begins with eight shows or 20 hours of original programming. Each show will range from one minute to 20. Country Now launches with four shows, such as “Hear & Now,” hosted by Stokes Nielsen of The Lost Trailers, will highlight the latest and greatest country music singles each week. A year ago, the company invested a reported $100 million to debut 100 channels with content created exclusively for YouTube.
