Target, Mindless Behavior Crowdsourcing Lyrics
Target, which frequently features exclusive tracks on CDs to boost music sales, is taking it a step further with an upcoming release from Mindless Behavior, with a contest allowing fans to submit their own lyrics on the band’s Facebook page. Called “Your Lyrics, Their Voices,” the promotion calls for one fan’s words to be chosen and recorded by the R&B act in a special version of “All Around the World.”
The song will then be available via an access code, received when purchasing the album from Target. The winner also gets a trip to Los Angeles to meet Mindless Behavior, a teen quartet, and attend the “All Around the World” movie premiere. In addition, Target’s version of the album includes four additional tracks. The album is available for preorder now, and goes on sale March 12.
