Discovery Ups Phillips To President, Domestic Distribution

Discovery Communications promoted Eric Phillips to president, domestic distribution. He most recently served as executive vice president, domestic distribution. He continues to report to Bill Goodwyn, President and CEO of Discovery Education and Strategic Distribution. Since joining the company in 2002, Phillips has been responsible for negotiating carriage agreements with all cable, satellite and telco distributors for Discovery’s 14 U.S. networks, as well as overseeing the business unit’s budget, legal and financial compliance efforts and operations.
