Disney Publishing Worldwide has tapped Sumita Bhattacharya as director, business development and strategic planning. Bhattacharya, previously a principal in Booz-Allen & Hamilton's communications,
media & technology group, has been charged with identifying, assessing and capturing new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions. She will also work with DPW's book, magazine and
licensed businesses to develop new revenue opportunities.
"Sumita has a wealth of experience in identifying and developing innovative media-related business strategies and opportunities," said
vice president, business development and strategic planning Steven Miller in a press release.
DPW publishes books and magazines in 55 languages in 75 countries, reaching more than 100 million
readers each month.
