Los Angeles magazine Editor-in-Chief Mary Melton will take on the additional responsibilities of vice president/editorial director of Emmis Publishing. She will be responsible for editorial its portfolio of leading titles, which include Texas Monthly, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Orange Coast, IndianapolisMonthly and Cincinnati. Melton is taking over the role from Deborah Paul, who retired on April 1. Last week, Emmis Publishing picked up three National Magazine Awards, two for Texas Monthly and one for Los Angeles.
