Avon Limits New Ordering System To Canada

Avon Products Inc. said it halted a rollout of a new order management system, saying a pilot program in Canada resulted in "significant business disruption in that market." The project, called service model transformation or SMT, was initiated in 2009 and has been among a handful of efforts the beauty company has pursued in transforming its business. SMT specifically was meant to simplify how Avon representatives do business with the company.
