Metro Boston Names New Advertising Director

Newspaper publisher Metro U.S. announced that it has promoted Steve Corcoran to the post of advertising director for Metro Boston. Metro said that Cocoran has over 15 years experience in multi-media sales, including leadership positions at Boston Globe Media. 

“Steve’s a brilliant addition to the top of the Metro Boston management. I expect the best -- and that Steve will deliver the best for Metro Boston,” said Metro U.S. Publisher and CEO Yggers Mortensen, in a statement issued late Monday.

Based in Europe, Metro publishes free daily newspapers in 100 major cities worldwide. U.S. readership for the papers, which are targeted at commuters, is currently around 1.2 million, according to the company.
