Marketers Shouldn't Assume Customers in the UK & Australia Want Emails in English: SDL Report

Marketers targeting millenials in English-speaking countries should not necessarily send emails in English. According to a new study from customer experience management business firm SDL, 32 percent of millennial consumers based in the UK prefer to place e-commerce orders in a language other than English.

The "There is only one language" report included feedback from more than 1,800 millennials, between the ages of 18 and 36. The study also revealed that 46 percent of consumers in this age group said that they are more likely to buy a product that is listed in the language of their choice.

According to the study, in the UK and Australia, a third of respondents spoke a language other than English at home.
