40% Of Americans Say Bye-Bye, Landlines

More than 40% of U.S. households have disconnected from telephone landlines and use only cellular phones, according to a recent study. Preliminary results from the National Health Interview Survey show that the number of cellular-only homes grew 1.6% during the second half of 2013. Among households with both landline and wireless telephones, more than a third use cell phones almost exclusively, according to the report.
