A new development in the IRS email scandal played out this week as House Oversight Republicans revealed new emails sent by the former IRS official Lois Lerner. New documents reveal that Lerner warned colleagues to be careful what they write in emails because of the congressional inquiries. "I was cautioning folks about email and how we have had several occasions where Congress has asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emails — so we need to be cautious about what we say in emails,” she wrote in the email. This comes after the IRS apparently lost years worth of emails.
