After serving as editor in chief of Ladies' Home Journal for more than 20 years, MYRNA BLYTH next week will be succeeded by veteran editor DIANE SALVATORE. Blyth will focus on her expanded role as editorial director of More, a lifestyle monthly for fortysomething women. Salvatore, most recently director of editorial operations at Hearst Magazines, has has held a string of jobs in women's titles, including executive director of Hearst's Marie Claire, executive editor of Good Housekeeping, and senior editor of Redbook. Ladies' Home Journal has also named MARY WITHERELL Managing Editor of the magazine. During her 20-year career, Witherell has served as a managing editor at Self, YM and American Health magazines, and most recently was managing editor at CosmoGIRL!
