Consumers Prefer Simple Copy in Email: Study

Simple and clear language is the best copy for email marketing messages, according to a new study by Fractl and Buzzstream. The research included feedback from 1,200 consumers aged 18 to 64 and found that "advanced" vocabulary in an email is "slightly unacceptable" and even people with advanced degrees find simple email copy "perfectly acceptable." The research also revealed that the majority of consumers enjoy humor in marketing emails.
