Omnicom Switches Accountants

Continuing to deal with rumors surrounding a potential accounting problem, Omnicom Group announced Thursday today that it has dumped Arthur Andersen and engaged KPMG as its independent accountants for 2002. An official Omnicom statement said the change “was not the result of any disagreement between Omnicom and Arthur Andersen on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or auditing scope or procedure.”
