Apple Believes in Privacy, Doesn't Want to Find Keywords in Emails

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple is not interested in accessing private user data and that the company considers privacy a fundamental human right. In an interview with NPR, Cook said that Apple will comply with government requests but are on the side of privacy. "But what they don't want to do, they don't want your email to be read, and then to pick up on keywords in your email and then to use that information to then market you things on a different application that you're using," he said of Apple's policy towards reading user email.
