On Tuesday, Google unveiled an upgrade to its free photo management software Picasa, acquired in May. The new version, Picasa 2, allows users to edit and organize photos. Users can also transfer images to a CD or DVD and include photos with Gmail, Google's e-mail system. The old version of the program previously sold for $29.99, before Google acquired it.
