GetResponse Builds Webinar Option Into SaaS Platform

GetResponse today announced that its email marketing software as a service (SaaS) platform would now integrate built-in webinars to support the growing use of webinars as a lead generation tactic in the marketing industry.

The new webinar feature adds new engagement capabilities to the GetResponse platform, including registration landing pages for capturing information and automated invitations and reminders to nurture customers.

Built-in presentation tools include a slideshow presenter for up to four collaborating speakers, screen-sharing engine, digital whiteboard, image gallery, and YouTube player.

“The addition of webinars equips our customers with an integrated solution for generating leads, engaging audiences, and monetizing their offers,” states Simon Grabowski, GetResponse founder and CEO.

Webinars can be an incredibly valuable tool to drive email engagement, sign-ups and capture vital customer data. Webinars present an easy way for businesses to demo their technology or engage with new leads and, when compared to alternative marketing channels such as television, webinars are also an incredibly cost-effective solution for smaller marketing teams.

Webinars are also a growing strategy in email marketing and, in particular, B2B marketing. Webinar channels grew 83% year-over-year, per software company BrightTALK, and viewing duration has increased in both size, duration and engagement, according to webinar marketing platform ON24.

ON24’s report also detailed that the middle of the workweek, Tuesday through Thursday, were the best days to host a webinar. Less than 10% of webinar participants will attend a webinar if it is on a Monday or Friday, and only 1% of those registered will attend a webinar on Saturday.
