TaxSlayer Customer Records Exposed in Data Breach

Tax services TaxSlayer has experienced a data breach, which exposed the user records of 8,800 customers. The data, which the company blamed on an unauthorized third party, was identified on January 13 ,and is now being fixed. User names and passwords may have been accessed by hackers during the breach.
