Fidelis Cybersecurity announced Monday the upcoming launch of Fidelis Email Security for Office 365, a new security solution to prevent email-based threats on
Microsoft’s Office 365 email service.
Fidelis Email Security for Office 365 will provide another layer of protection to Microsoft’s email service. Integrated with Microsoft’s
Azure marketing cloud, Fidelis Email Security for Office 365 is an automated email security system that promotes visibility of email traffic.
The solution scans each email message to identify
and quarantine inbound or outbound threats, effectively preventing data theft by halting any malicious communication. The new solution will analyze Office 365 traffic for a variety of email threats
including malware, malicious attachments, and command-and-control activity, and is expected to be available in Spring 2016.

“Organizations of all sizes are moving their core business
applications to the cloud,” states Kurt Bertone, chief technology officer at Fidelis Cybersecurity, in a press statement. “With the convenience of cloud-based applications and services
comes new security risks."
Previously known as Fidelis Security Systems, Fidelis Cybersecurity is an enterprise software and Internet security solutions provider. The company was acquired in
2015 by private equity firm Marlin Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount.
If Marlin Equity Partners sounds familiar, it may be because the investment firm has been acquiring a plethora of
digital communication companies recently and stacking a portfolio of SaaS technology and email applications. Marlin Equity Partners acquired email marketing company BlueHornet in December, as well as SaaS cloud contact center and customer
service solution LiveOps Cloud Platform.
