'Automobile' To Stream Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

Expanding on its sponsorship of car show event Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Automobile magazine announced Monday that they will host a live stream of the event on August 21.

This is the second year in a row for TEN: The Enthusiast Network, parent company of Automobile, to be the official media partner for the Concours.

TEN will broadcast the awards ceremony for free on Motor Trend OnDemand, its subscription video on demand service that re-launched in May, and on the Automobile playlist within Motor Trend’s YouTube channel.

The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is an annual automotive charitable event that began in 1950 and is held in Pebble Beach, California. The event is dedicated to showcasing prewar and postwar collector cars, as well as the latest in concept car designs. This year, over 200 cars will be judged for authenticity, function, history and style. One car will win the Best of Show award.

"The Concours may seem genteel, but the competition can be fierce,” stated Concours chairman Sandra Button. “The live stream allows us to share this competition, and all of these great cars, with the widest possible audience.”

Leading up to the event, featured Concours d'Elegance content will be available on the Automobile site. Content from last year's live feed, as well as new original content produced by TEN on Pebble Beach, will be hosted on the site, giving sneak peeks of the cars that will participate in the event.

The live stream will feature a pre-show segment. Special guests and celebrities are expected to make appearances throughout the broadcast to give commentary and insights around the cars and event.

CBS Sports Network will air a one-hour segment of Concours d'Elegance highlights on September 22.
