Riseup's Encrypted Email Service Has Some Users Worried

Encrypted email and messaging service Riseup.net may not be as secure as users think, some users are speculating on Hacker News and Reddit forums. The service, which is used by many activists and journalists, now carries an expired warrant canary on its site. The legal document is usually updated every three months to illustrate the privacy that users obtain in using the service, but it has not been done since August.
