NGDATA, a customer data and marketing company, announced the closing of a $9.4 million Series B investment round on Thursday, bringing the company’s total investment to-date to $20 million.
Led by Idinvest Partners, and with participation from previous investors Pamica, SmartFin Capital, Capricorn Venture Partners and Nausicaa Ventures, the new financing will be funneled into product development and company expansion.
Dominique Illien, CEO of Editions Lefebvre Sarrut (ELS), has joined NGDATA’s board.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Belgium, NGDATA combines data science and marketing automation to optimize the way brands communicate with their customers. The company’s customer experience operating system, Lily Enterprise, provides insights on historic and real-time customer interactions so brands can fuel deeper understanding of their prospects. NGDATA’s client roster includes Orange, ING, Time Inc., and Wells Fargo.
NGDATA plans to propel its internal sales and marketing departments and sees key growth opportunities in the financial services, telecommunications, media and publishing industries. The United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific were also highlighted by NGDATA as key focuses of company growth.
The company is also on the lookout for potential acquisition activity, having recently acquired online video startup Rednun in October.
