Info.com Partners with Kayak.com for Travel Search
Info.com's other niche search categories include shopping, news, images, local, audio and video files, and jobs. Each of Info.com's search categories are powered by a different partner search engine--Jobs by Indeed.com, shopping by Shopping.com, and news by Topix.com, for example. The searches are monetized through sponsored links from Google AdSense and Yahoo! Search Marketing. The Kayak.com searches also will be monetized through shared referral fees from hotels and airlines.
For its results, Kayak.com crawls over 100 different travel sites, including many of the major domestic carriers and hotel chains, as well as several other air travel aggregators like Airfare.com, OneTravel.com, and IGoUGo.com.
Kayak.com has a number of other partners that distribute its search results on their sites, including Internet company AOL.com, whose Pinpoint Travel site is powered by Kayak.com.
