LMiV announced it will cease operations on September 30. The company was started two years ago as a joint venture for radio station’s Internet development. The joint venture included media industry
leaders Bonneville International Corporation, Corus Entertainment, Emmis Communications, Entercom Communications and Jefferson-Pilot Communications. The websites, functions and content that had been
managed by LMiV during the past two years will be returned to individual founder companies and their stations. “Unfortunately, the fundamental change in the economic viability of streaming and the
recession in the broadcast advertising market have conspired to cause many radio stations to reduce the resources they are allocating to their interactive efforts.”
