Gamespot Thursday announced that it will launch a new online gaming site, dubbed Gamecenter.com, before the end of the month, offering users servers to host their online multiplayer games. The first
publisher to begin using the service is Electronic Arts, which runs competitive, ranked servers for its popular modern warfare simulator, Battlefield 2, through GameCenter. Subscription fees for
players will run either $9.99 per month or $79.95 per year.
