iVillage Enters Top 15
Sep 27, 2002, 12:00 AM
iVillage announced that the company has entered the top 15 most visited web properties in the U.S. and continues to focus on its strategy “to turn visitors into customers.” The Company says it is on track to expand its line of fee-based branded products, goods and services, including the introduction of an iVillage-branded ISP. Unique monthly visitors to the iVillage Network increased nearly 14% to nearly 20.0 million, placing the Company number 13 in the top 100 Web and digital media properties in the U.S., according to comScore Media Metrix ratings for August 2002. In July 2002, iVillage ranked 19th. During August 2002 in the U.S., iVillage reached 16.2% of the online population and 20% of women online over the age of 18, or 1 in 5 women online during a given month. iVillage continues to be the number one web site for women. The company says the recent launch of the iVillageSolutions vitamin and nutraceutical line is the beginning of the Company's strategy to introduce iVillage branded products and create new revenue sources.
