The Weather Channel Equips L.L.Bean With Forecasts

When customers visit L.L.Bean's online Outerwear Guide--www.llbean.com/outerwear--they will have access to The Weather Channel's weather reports and weather history for specific destinations, per a Monday announcement. When shoppers visit the site, they're invited to enter a zip code in the "Outerwear for Anywhere" section. Using weather modeling and historical trend data, The Weather Channel then provides them with a history of that area's typical winter weather conditions, as well as forecasts and weather-related facts. The Outerwear Guide also enables shoppers to compare winter-weather gear based upon temperature and comfort rating, style, application, price range, and insulation type.
