MRI's On TV

  • February 28, 2002
FONAR Corporation, The MRI Specialist, reported today that it has begun advertising its new Stand-Up MRI on cable TV in the metropolitan New York area. The cable systems involved reach approximately 4.5 million households in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Last week's commencement of the TV ads represents the second phase of a media campaign that also includes radio advertising in the New York market, and, at the national level, journal ads, direct mail and telemarketing. FONAR has been running radio ads for the Stand-Up MRI since the end of January. The TV ad shows a comfortably seated patient enjoying a football game on TV while undergoing his MRI examination. The 30-second ad can be seen on Fox News, MSNBC News, ESPN Sports, New York 1 and News 12 over the New York Cable Interconnect and Time Warner Cable systems. The goal of the Stand-Up MRI media blitz is to attract patients and referring physicians to the Stand-Up MRI located in Islandia, New York, and to generate sales leads for the product. FONAR reports that it is achieving both goals: The patient volume at the Islandia facility has doubled and is still growing; the FONAR sales force is actively pursuing leads generated by the radio and TV ads.
