Cleveland Rocks, En Espanol

Univision Communications Inc., a Spanish-language television broadcast company, announced the inauguration of the first Spanish-language television station in Northeast Ohio. WQHS-TV Channel 61, the network's newest owned-and-operated full power station, begins broadcasting today in the Greater Cleveland area. In direct response to the region's explosive Hispanic population growth, up more than 50% in the last 10 years according to the 2000 Census, Univision will expand its presence in this community. The new station will deliver sports, news and entertainment programming on WQHS-TV Channel 61, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, exclusively in Spanish.
