  • January 24, 2006
CBS Corp. Monday unveiled a new consumer research organization and named long-time CBS research chief Dave Poltrack to run it. The new unit, dubbed CBS Vision, will go beyond the parochial issues of broadcast TV to explore emerging technologies, media consumption patterns and advertising value. As part of the move, Poltrack was promoted to executive vice president and chief research officer of CBS Corp., giving him a much broader mandate than TV. CBS' assets also include radio, outdoor, Simon & Schuster book publishing and the Paramount Parks. Poltrack had been executive vice president research and planning. -- Joe Mandese
