ALAN CHU has been named general manager of Smithsonian Publishing. Chu comes to Smithsonian from Time Inc., where he served in various capacities including business manager for People en Espanol; general manager for Time4 Outdoors and, most recently, as general manager for consumer marketing and corporate finance at Time4 Media.
