MSNBC.com Names Charlie Tillinghast Publisher, General Manager
MSNBC.com named Charlie Tillinghast to the post of publisher and general manager, succeeding Scott Moore, who segued to a new role as General Manager, MSN Network Experience, a few months ago. Tillinghast, has served in a variety of executive roles at MSNBC.com since joining the company in 1999, most recently serving as VP-Sales & Business Development. In his new role, Tillinghast will oversee the online news provider's day-to-day business operations, set priorities, oversee technology development and manage the editorial organization.
"MSNBC.com is an outstanding example of online journalism success, making it the first and best place for news consumers to get the news that's relevant to them," Tillinghast said in a statement. "My role is to not only continue those achievements, but to improve upon it by combining quality journalism with the latest Internet technology."
