Google Buys Blog Analytics Tool
Feb 16, 2006, 6:00 AM
Search giant Google Tuesday announced the purchase of Measure Map, an analytics tool designed for bloggers, from Adaptive Path, a San Francisco-based analytics and Web design firm. The product will be available free, with users able to send a request for an invite at the service's home page at MeasureMap.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Jeffrey Veen--founder of Adaptive Path and product director for Measure Map--has been hired on at Google, where he now heads up the Google Measure Map Team. "By opening up the app to more bloggers through Google, we hope to help even more people become passionate about their blogs," Veen wrote on the Google Blog.
