Jeeves Packs His Bags

Jeeves, the mascot of search engine Ask.com, is slated to depart to the microsite JeevesRetirement.com, Ask.com Senior Vice President of Search Jim Lanzone announced on the site's blog. The microsite allows Jeeves enthusiasts to vote on ways the butler, named after P.G. Wodehouse's butler, "Jeeves," can spend his retirement, from running a vineyard in Provence to opening a tropical cabana. News of the butler's departure first surfaced last September, when IAC CEO Barry Diller hinted that the company would phase out the mascot.
