Boston Globe Taps Martin As Ad Chief

The New York Times Co.'s Boston Globe Media unit Thursday named Samuel Martin chief advertising officer. Martin, who has been senior vice president of sales for the North Jersey Media Group, will oversee the integrated advertising sales and marketing efforts for all the Globe's media properties, including: the Boston Globe newspaper, Boston.com, Worcester Telegram and Gazette, and GlobeDirect, a direct marketing company.
